About His Helping Hands
His Helping Hands (HHH) is located in Ephrata, WA and serves as a local ministry to the homeless and those in need that live within Grant County. The goal of His Helping Hands is to be Jesus to our community through more than just words. We attempt to do this by providing some basic needs for homeless and low income adults and children throughout our community in an effort to improve their lives. We desire to help people regain a sense of dignity and in so doing, reveal the love of Jesus to each of them regardless of their situation.
Created in 2011 through the vision and heart of Dawn Prince and her daughter, as a single day event on Christmas Day to serve the homeless, His Helping Hands has now grown to a multi-month ministry open to all those in need. The first year HHH served 35 people a hot meal and gave them winter clothing and hygiene products. Now, through the generosity of local churches, community members, and grants from local organizations, His Helping Hands now serves 350-600 people on Christmas Day with a hot meal and gifts for kids and between 850-1000 people during the winter season with winter clothing and hygiene products. HHH also provides limited assistance for gas and utilities, as well as any other reasonable request in which we can verify the need. Starting in November of 2025, HHH will be able to provide showers and laundry services for our local homeless population.
The vision of His Helping Hands has always been to be a faith-based community resource center where the generosity of our community and local churches support our efforts to provide for the needs of others within our community. By gathering our resources together, we believe we can better serve the people in need of Grant County. But beyond providing for physical needs, His Helping Hands longs for each person to know they are seen by God, El Roi (the God who sees me, Genesis 16:13). HHH longs for all to know they are valued, loved, and known by a God who sees each of us, even in our distress.
